Georgia Southern Radio Network

CHRIS BLAIR
Director of Network Operations
Play-by-Play Announcer

Chris Blair begins his fifth year as the play-by-play voice of the Eagle Athletics. With a resume that covers virtually all aspects of broadcasting, with broadcast management and marketing positions in Greenville and Columbia, S.C. Blair grew up inside a radio station and began working at age 14 for his father, also a long-time broadcaster. His college broadcast experience includes work for the Clemson Tiger SportsNetwork and Lander University.

Blair spent 10 years as the play-by-play announcer for prep-powerhouse Greenwood High School in South Carolina and broadcasting four state championships during the "Weekend of Champions" at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, S.C.

Along with duties in the booth for football, basketball and baseball, Blair handles all the behind-the-scenes aspects with affiliate relations, network marketing plans, and overall sound presentation of GSU Athletics on the air and on the web. For the 2010-2011 sports seasons, Blair will host the weekly radio shows for Coach Jeff Monken and Coach Charlton Young and serves as the host for the weekly television show “Inside Georgia Southern Basketball” with Coach Charlton Young.

Blair also is the market manager for Georgia Eagle Media, Inc., which owns and operates seven broadcast radio stations in Statesboro.

Chris is married to the former Amber Anders, who serves the assistant to the Dean for the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at Georgia Southern. They have one son, Crafton Christopher.

TERRY HARVIN
Football Color Analyst

A four-year letterman for the Eagles, Terry was a punter on the 1986-1990 Georgia Southern squads and a member of the 1986, 1989 and 1990 Division I-AA National Championship teams. Along with his analyst duties on the game broadcasts, Harvin will host the weekly installments of “Inside Georgia Southern Football” with first-year Eagle Head Coach Jeff Monken during the fall of 2010. Currently residing in Macon, Ga., Terry is the Executive Vice-President for Georgia Eagle Media, Inc.

Terry continues to be an active ambassador for his alma mater and is the former President of the GSU Alumni Association Board of Directors. Terry married fellow alumnus, the former Lori Driggers, Georgia Southern Class of 1994. They are the proud parents of three daughters Madelyn (12), Sarah (10) and Gillian (6).

RYAN CHAMBERS
Football Sideline Analyst
Women's Basketball Play-by-Play Announcer
Baseball Play-by-Play Announcer

Ryan Chambers is set for his fifth season roaming the sidelines covering Georgia Southern Football. Chambers, a native of Milledgeville, Ga., has been heard, seen and read around the state from his time delivering the weather at WGMT-TV (NBC) in Macon, as a newspaper sports editor, and broadcasting high school championship sports on radio and TV for Georgia Public Broadcasting. Along with football broadcasts, Chambers handles the play-by-play for Eagle Baseball and Lady Eagle Basketball and hosts the television program “Inside Georgia Southern Baseball with Rodney Hennon” and Coach Rusty Cram's radio program.

A marketing consultant for Georgia Eagle Broadcasting, Ryan is married to the former Jodie Payant, who is teacher in the Bulloch County School District. They welcomed their first child, a daughter, Winslette Rebecca, in May of 2010.

RUSS BROWN
Producer / Spotter

Joining the team in 2010 is Russ Brown. Brown will handle on-site producer duties, as well as serve as a spotter in the booth and co-host for pre-game and post-game festivities.

Brown may be a new name to Georgia Southern fans this season, but he is certainly no stranger to this broadcast crew. Brown started his broadcasting career more than a decade ago in his hometown of Milledgeville, Ga., where he worked with another current member of the network, Ryan Chambers, manning the airwaves of WMVG and WKZR. After attending school in Charolotte, N.C., and working for Raycom Sports, Brown returned to the Peach State in 2006 to work as the Program Director for ESPN 105.5 the Fan where he co-hosted and produced the "The Afternoon Sports Drive" with former GSU punter and now GSRN color commentator Terry Harvin.

Brown, now the producer of the "Bill Shanks Show" on Fox Sports 1670 in Macon, Ga., resides in Macon with his wife, Lindsey, and son, Ole.
